Research interests

I am interested in topics related to Cognitive Neuroscience and Neuroimaging, with a particular focus on attention and perception pertaining to the auditory system. Additionally, a large part of my research deals with the role of attention in music perception and creation. Prior to this, my training is in chemistry and physics, with an emphasis on imaging and spectroscopic methods.

Presently, I am involved in a collaboration project between NatMEG (Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm) and LKC Medicine (Nanyang Technological University, Singapore). We are investigating the role of expertise on selective auditory attention with expert musicians and polyphonic music. Our project uses the concepts of frequency-tagging and MEG to allow tracking of attention on the presented musical stimuli across time.
